I always think it's very
important to eat in a balanced way and especially eating the things our body
needs for proper functioning moderately, without excess. Good nutrition is
essential as we are what we eat.
In the food pyramid there are five
levels which in turn contain seven groups which shows the variety, number and
proportion of foods that should be consumed by individuals in order that their body performs all its functions and stay in good shape .
In this sense, the groups could be the following:
- First: milk and derivatives.
- Second: Meat, fish and eggs.
- Third, potatoes, legumes and nuts.
- Fourth: Vegetables.
- Fifth: Fruits.
- Sixth: bread, pasta, cereals and sugar.
- Seventh: Fats, oils and butter.
Junk food tends to be high in fat, salt and calories and low in dietary
fiber. These dietary factors can lead to health problems
Studies in the different universities, in February 2006 it is estimated
that 66 percent of people consume junk food daily, the daily consumption of
sugar, fat and other substances that contribute to overweight. This type of
food is detrimental to health and makes us gain an excessive way for our weight.
One of the most common myth is: "Potatoes are fattening"; The
truth is that they have 75-80% water, and the rest is carbohydrate which contributes
only 85 kcal. per 100 g. and finally the other common myth of all is: "The bread
fattening"; The caloric content of 100 g of white bread is very small:
about 250 kcal. But bread doesn't fat because the accompanied food is that has high fat.
In conclusion it is always necessary to control all the food we eat to keep
fit and stay healthy. What do you think?
